I live in Norway and so it snowes a lot, and in the “big“ city’s they salt but if u buy a car from where we don’t salt u will see a biiiig difference on cars from where we salt to where we don’t, so judging something like this to protect from salt it makes big difference. Love ur vids

Great instruction from you as usual, but in my case I got an old 2002 Nissan Pathfinder, and I noticed the springs are thick and strong looking. But my main concern it's got almost 200,000 miles on it. So I figure the springs are probably getting weak, so I'll just buy two complete strut assemblys from Monroe. 😇

Waxoyl hardcoat is a one and done deal. You spray it on and it cures but it doesn’t fully dry. It’s designed to stay flexible but seal out the moisture. You just look it over once a year and add more to areas it thins out in. Rovers North America recommends it for restored land rovers which have an aluminum body but use a heavy gauge steel frame. I plan to do the underside of my 2022 Tacoma this fall before I buy out the lease. Sure I’ll cavity wax the inside of the doors but it really does best in the tailgate corners where Tacoma bodies tend to have their worst rust. Sprayed into crossmembers and boxed sections is where you’ll find it does best. Done correctly it gives your frame that gloss black new appearance and it’s unaffected by UV light or high pressure carwashes. End result? Your car will last long enough to get payed off and give you years of enjoyment with no car payment

Strange way of testing

To further emphasize how AC works, the main principle to consider is that HEAT = ENERGY, basic physics state that “You cannot create nor destroy energy”, you can either transform or transfer energy; therefore in an A/C system (in accordance to thermodynamics) you cannot make it “cold”, the A/C system is either transforming or transferring “energy” (heat) from or to the cabin whenever you set the temperature to “cold” or “hot”.

Doesn’t POR15 say it’s better to paint over rust rather than clean metal? Just knock off loose rust and paint. I actually let new metal surface rust before por15. Never an issue

Orifice tube systems don't have a receiver/dryer. They have an accumulator. They are not the same thing. Additionally, you want to burp the blue hose at the manifold end after opening the can in order to purge the atmospheric air out of the hose. Do this by a quick twist of the fitting--all you need is a quarter-second pulse.

I saw somewhere else at the bottom two bolts coming from the oil pan are torque to 50 foot pounds, not 15. Can you confirm?

Por 15 isn't an all in one if you have to go over it with a top coat. It should be labeled as a primor too

My friend test on a engine which has at least 10 years of oil leak and I bet none of these crap products works. All are waste of money. Believe me $10 goop from harbor freight and your hand is best product. Good luck.

I've used the STP in a 4 cylinder Ford Ecosport. No turbo. Had a slight miss before at idle. After it idled great. About half way through the cleaning I did start to get a smoke cloud and at the end I had a large smoke cloud in the driveway. About 600 miles later both O2 sensors had to be replaced for slow switching. This was about 30,000 miles ago, same cat on the car still. No issues. Oh, I did manage to get the STP for $32 using my works wholesale account at the parts store.

Just one thing mentioned by another follower to remember: If you are working on a system that still has refrigerant in it and you do not have a vacuum pump, you still need to purge the blue low pressure line and the red high pressure line besides the obvious yellow hose, before testing the system (for pressures with the gauges). You can do that after hooking up the lines to your car's A/C system per Repair Geek's instructions by very quickly backing off and hand re-tightening the fitting of each hooked up line on the side of the manifold which holds the gauges. You will loose a very small amount of refrigerant from your car's system, but you will ensure the blue and red hoses are free of air and moisture. Otherwise a vacuum pump shoud be used as shown by Repair Geek. Thanks to John!

Vac pump not needed before connecting hoses, leave fittings a little loose on gage set, connect to car, let system pressure purge out air, just a little, doesn’t take much. Otherwise excellent.

Ive done this myself. I found johnsens is the "best". Seem to only be able to find it on Amazon these days. After the VID they disappeared from stores.

Im doing a frame off on a 97 thats lived in Ohio its entire life. Ive wire wheeled all the scale down to a patina/smooth rust surface mixed with some clean metal spots and new factory coated brackets and hangers. Ive basically ruled out any "rust encapsolater" products (por15, eastwood, sweet patina black out) because frankly, i think theyre all a gimmick. I was gonna just prime and paint with Rustoleum oil based products, then coat with fluid film. Now that i see this, should i just direct coat with dyed fluid film and omit any paint/coatings altogether??

how would Brunox preform in those thests?
